DEWAR , Vera Marion of Sambro . It is with deep sadness , we announce the passing of our Mother , Grandmother and Great-Grandmother on April 6 , 2013 at the age of 90 years. Born in Wallace Bridge , Nova Scotia she was a daughter of the late George & Margaret ( Card ) Bennett. She worked for many years at Camp Hill Hospital and the Victoria General Hospital as an Anesthesiologist Assistant and during her free time she had many interests , including : Editor of a Seniors Newsletter , summers at the cottage riding the new mower while reading instructions and running over Sharon's hydrangeas , old time country music , Mario Lanza , puzzles and making quilts for her family were some of her favorites. Vera will be missed by her loving daughters , Sharon Oakley ( Brian ) and Elizabeth Doubleday ( Patrick ) both Sambro , brothers Walter - Wallace Bridge and Richard - Scotsburn , grandchildren , Arthur , Robert , Juanita , Trevor , Dawn , Rhonda , Tyler , Jennifer , great grandchildren , Cassandra , Kelsey , Clarissa , Hunter , Laura , Olivia , Isaac and MacKenzie , step-children , John and Karen Baxter, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband , Arthur Stewart Dewar and although divorced from her second husband James Spurgeon Baxter they remained lifelong friends , son Robert Baxter ( Beverley ) , brothers and sisters , Lyman , Stewart , Lloyd , Edith , Irene , Alice , Blanch , Phyllis and Ruby . A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. FRIDAY APRIL 12 at Riverside Cemetery , Fountain Road , Wallace River . A reception will follow at Wallace and Area Museum , Wallace Bridge N.S.
